Mayor of Worcester advocates support for Cathedral Ringers' teaching and urges city "Let's get Worcester Ringing!" On Friday 6th July Councillor Stephen Inman's Guildhall Banquet speech gave clear support for the works of the Guild in teaching bell ringing using the teaching centre. He said, "The first project is to create Teaching Centre for bell ringing based at Worcester cathedral and backed by Bishop Perowne College and the Kings School. It should become a national centre of excellence". He went to urge support for the new eight at Old St Martins, "I hope that local businesses or local people who feel they would like to make a real and literally audible contribution to City life would make that donation and treat it as an investment which could be with us for years to come."
